Warm Cookies in Spokane and Union Square, NYC

I just got back about an hour ago from a 3 day trip; well, make that a 4 day because it started with a couch shift where I got sent on a San Diego turn then got a 5 am call out the next morning. So basically it feels like I started my trip at 6 am Saturday morning but had a 14 hour layover in Denver the first night.

Anyway, I got lucky and had a 19 hour layover in NYC. Another flight attendant and I got up early Monday morning to ride into Manhattan where we visited the Ground Zero site then went shopping and people watching in Union Square. We bought lunch at Whole Foods and had a lovely picnic in the park.

Last night we had an 11 hour layover in Spokane - only time enough for an extended nap. The good news is that we stay at a Doubletree there and they give out warm cookies when you check in. Yum! Nice perk and the bed was really cozy.

I got along very well with the other two flight attendants although they are both political polar opposites from me and spend most of their down time (and a lot of working time, too) complaining about the passengers. Nice ladies and they were very kind to me, but it sure was exhausting keeping a neutral face sometimes.

I'm so tired the room is wobbling like I am still on the plane, so that's all I've got to say for now. I'll post pictures later.
