San Antonio Turn From the Couch

I started a 5 day block of reserve days this morning with my normal 6 am couch sit on the first day - naturally. Usually I prefer to get sent out off of the couch because it's a better use of my time and gas to just keep going once I'm here.

Today, however, I'm tired and I really wanted to go home and get some rest. Erik and I went to the annual Eaton Fire District Christmas Banquet last night so I didn't get to bed at my normal 7 pm like I'd like when I have an early morning showtime. I went to bed at 10, so I only got 5 hours sleep, not enough for me. Anyway, something must have happened because 2.5 hours into my sit crew scheduling called me with a San Antonio turn, getting back in at 3:30 this pm. Not horrible, thank goodness, but I find it ironic that the one day I really WANTED to go home, I get a little turn off the couch. Oh well, maybe when I get back in they'll send me onto a nice long Salt Lake overnight or something. (Oooo! Or maybe finally Omaha! Wouldn't that be great? Do me a favor: call crew scheduling and beg them not to send me on an overnight when I get back tonight. That way I'll be a shoe-in to go somewhere!)
