This is a re-formatting of a blog I used to have a couple of years ago, "Who Am I To Blog?" I abandoned that blog when I spent most of my time on it complaining about my health. (It was a bad year.)
Now it's a new year, new location, new job and new body. I had gastric bypass surgery (finally!) two years ago, and got a new job to go along with it. I am now a Flight Attendant for a great low cost carrier. It's the strangest job, but the greatest. My hope is to be able to document for friends and family the realities of this job, both the good, bad, hopeful, and frustrating.
I've been flying for 8 months now and have found a new strength within myself I never knew I had: I don't take any crap off people! LOL In spite of what the mass population thinks (including me before this job), a flight attendant's main responsibility is not serving drinks; it's SAFETY. True, we hope nothing scary ever happens, but it does occasionally, and the rules exist for a reason. Now, with my new-found strength, I can nicely ask for people to comply with the rules, and have no qualms about making them when they resist. 98% of folks are truly great, I'm glad to say.
Already, I have some great stories to share. Stay tuned for more, and for updates on my family life.
