Told You So

Well, I did it. I really jinxed it. I didn't get to my voodoo dance fast enough because, I kid you not - five minutes after I finished my last post the other day, Crew Scheduling called. They needed me for a turn that left at 5 pm and returned at 11:46 pm. I was totally wrong about the Sacramento part, though. San Jose, so I was off by a 100 miles or so. What was that I was saying about Flight Attendants being superstitious?

I should say that it was a very nice turn, even if it sucked having to do it the last seven hours of my 3 day RSV block. We had about 15 open seats on the way there and about 80 seats on the way back! Easiest flight I've done in a long time! My favorite part was on the flight back to Denver. We had a service dog, a Golden Retriever named Rocker. He had recently graduated from the Service Animal Institute and was flying to his new home with his new owner to be a Physical Therapy dog. What a sweetie he was! I know he'll be a hit when he starts his new career.

For now, I am sitting in a coffee shop in my hometown, wasting time while Erik attends a funeral. I will help celebrate high school homecoming week this afternoon by attending the parade and the football game tonight, then back on call at midnight tonight for four glorious, excitement-filled days of playing the "What next?" game!

I understand!!! I've learned to keep my mouth closed...

I just had a day off today to attend the Air Force/Navy football game with Greg's high school friend and her hubby (their daughter is a midshipman). It was a really fun day!

But I'm on duty for the next two days...what does my future hold?
